Printed the year the club was founded at the Swan Hotel, Swan Street. The town's chess players were already in the newspapers by 1843, trading moves by post with Wolverhampton.

7:00 PM. We play chess all year round. The league season runs from September to May.

Free to play

No chess club fee. Venue membership is £6 for six months, plus a £1 application fee. ECF membership for rated league play.
